Looks like you have insufficient pixel shift to be at the continuum. You should be around 1.5Å off H-alpha, which, given the spectral dispersion you have, should be about 16 pixels.
What did you use for stacking? The disk is not round, which is quite surprising. Did you give my script a try? https://spectrosolhub.com/u/melix/scripts/cedrics-scripts
Thank you, Cedric for your wonderful JSol'ex. Focusing is indeed a challenge even though I have a Starlight focuser on the Pentax. I run JSol'ex after my first recording. If I don't detect any redshift, I will redo my focusing until I get redshift. Another indication is - I look for "blue annotated" active regions to ensure the focus is spot on. This is my current way of getting the focus spot on. I am thinking of introducing a dust into SHG to make the focus easier :)
This image shows 2 strong discontinuities at the east and west limbs. I suspect these are because of dropped frames. Did you check if Sharpcap tells you about dropped frames?
The line core is dark, so I think it is an Ellerman bomb? I just uploaded a M2.7 Flare with spectral line - there you can see that the line-core is heavily brightened: https://spectrosolhub.com/observation/236
No, but I understand why you ask :). The low contrast is because changed the excellent lenses in the SHG 700 to two doublets that doesn't perform as well. I have 125 mm on the collimator and 200 mm on the camera. I will try to use this setup to explore the polarisation in Fe lines. Also, I have used the CLAHE contrast enhancement, but it turned out a little bright.

1 comment(s)Jolis détails ! C'est bizarre cependant on dirait qu'il y a un voile grisâtre, peut-être le fond de ciel un peu trop relevé.

Lovely! I'm impressed with what you achieve, as I understand focusing with the Pentax must not be easy!

Full rotation, congratulations!

1 comment(s)Well done, you were lucky! I observed the sun 13 days straight without seeing anything like this and now it's rainy! #flare

Heureusement qu'il y a JSol'Ex, j'arrive à rien avec INTI sur la couronne.
Excellent, surtout qu'en ce moment le soleil n'est pas encore bien haut et que la turbu est bien présente !

3 comment(s)Yeah if the core is dark. It's not very visible on the capture.

It is very difficult to see here but I think that's a flare, not an EB

Bravo,tu as eu plus de chance que moi,je n'ai jamais réussi à obtenir un bon cliché,effectivement chez moi aussi le ciel n'était vraiment pas bon.
