1. About SpectroSolHub

SpectroSolHub is a free community platform dedicated to solar spectroheliography. It allows users to share observation sessions, solar images, and related data with other enthusiasts and researchers.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on SpectroSolHub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the service.

3. Service Provided "As Is"

SpectroSolHub is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or availability. The operator makes no guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be preserved indefinitely.

4. Modification and Discontinuation

The operator reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you upload to SpectroSolHub (images, observation data, comments, etc.). By uploading content, you grant SpectroSolHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store your content as part of the normal operation of the platform.

6. Scientific Research License

By uploading data to SpectroSolHub, you grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your uploaded content — including images, metadata, and observation data — for scientific research purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, analysis, publication in scientific papers or datasets, and sharing within the scientific community. When reasonably possible, appropriate credit will be given to the original contributor.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload or share content that is illegal, offensive, abusive, or unrelated to the purpose of the platform. The operator reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

8. Account Termination

The operator may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, including but not limited to violation of these terms. You may also delete your own account at any time through the account settings.

9. Data and Privacy

SpectroSolHub collects only the data necessary for the operation of the service: account information (username, email) and the content you choose to upload. Your personal data will not be sold to third parties.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to data loss.

11. Changes to These Terms

The operator may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.
